Finally time to dissect my favorite character of all.

Sesmu is the ancient Egyptian demonic god of execution, slaughter, blood, oil, wine and perfume. Like many of the gods of Ancient Egypt, Shezmu (Sesmu) was of a complex nature. He had qualities of both light and darkness

A perfect way to explain why he does the crap that he does and why he was regarded as the highest recorded soldier alongside another. He was the Pharoah's right hand man and no one was more trusted than him.

It was why he was rewarded the job of keeping watch over Pharaoh's newest wife; the baby sister of the latest wives. If only he knew that was the beginning of his demise. How he would quickly fall in love with someone who he shouldn't have.

Forbidden fruit one might say.

How his passion and love clouded his once clear judgment and now her death is on his hands. How the sweetest of loves caused him to kill the most powerful man and how he was cursed to live for eternity; alone.

That is until he meets a conflicted witch and she promises him a second chance at love with his very first.

Quickly and without hesitation, Sesmu agrees to the contract and is thrown off at how closely they resemble. Camille and Kamilah, even their names are alike.

How can he remain to his first true love when this version of her is so....new.

Especially when she's resistant to his every advance and in love with someone he thought no longer existed. (Spoiler alert)
