Umi

Now onto the next character, one that everyone finds on one side or the other. There's never an in between with this one.

Umi, the once great witch. She first appears in the second chapter, a "clueless" store merchant, but she is truly the beginning of the end for Camille.

Hidden in her store is the jewel to the other side, think of Vampire Diaries and the after world now imagine it being linked inside of a beautiful bracelet.

Camille finds it, as if she is drawn to it and tries it on; almost immediately alerting every eternal being (spoiler alert) she is home and she is ....pure.

Umi's plans work and she poisons the child, causing her to explain briefly of Camille's future, if she decides to accept her new fate. A fate that no sane person would deem fair and just, but then we dive into who Umi really is.

She's ancient; one of those eternal beings I mentioned earlier. She's a witch that had a huge part in the curse that haunts Camille now. How did her life unravel and was she always this...evil?

Or is it because of her connection to this plan, her life is now intertwined with the devil, herself? The Echidna?
